Product Specification
Water quality is important to Water Resource managers/regulators, hydropower companies, and the public. National government water resource agencies in Canada are aware and use EO based water equality products. However, there are others such as hydropower companies that have limited exposure and different requirements. Current user requirements will be reassessed and the requirements of new users solicited early in the project.
Noetix Research Inc. has an operational infrastructure in place to acquire AVHRR and MODIS data and produce these water quality products. These products include RGB colour composite images, algae bloom products, sea surface temperature products (SST) and total suspended solids.
